Overview
The HPE S0U72A is a 24-port 10/100/1000 Mbps line card with Class 4 PoE for the Aruba CX 5420 modular switch chassis. It gives network teams a high-density access layer that can power wireless access points, VoIP phones, and other PoE-capable edge devices, while staying within a single, modular chassis infrastructure. Because it’s built for the CX 5420 chassis, you get full AOS-CX operating system features (routing, ACLs, VLANs) with flexibility to mix this PoE card with non-PoE or uplink modules. In real deployments, this means you can run up to 24 PoE-powered devices off one line card in branch offices, campus access closets, or distributed aggregation points.
