Overview

The HPE NC523SFP is a dual‑port 10 Gigabit Ethernet adapter with SFP+ connectivity, designed for use in HPE ProLiant servers. It connects over a PCI Express ×8 interface (Gen 2) to deliver high-throughput 10 GbE using either fiber transceivers or direct-attach copper (DAC) cables. The adapter supports advanced offload features like TCP checksum/segmentation, jumbo frames, VLAN tagging, and IPv6 to reduce CPU burden and improve efficiency in virtualization and high-traffic environments. It’s compatible with both full-height and low-profile PCIe slots.
