StarTech ST4000PEXPSE 4 Port PCIe Po Network Adapter
Overview
The StarTech ST4000PEXPSE is a specialized 4-port Gigabit Ethernet PCI Express card designed to provide both high-speed data connectivity and Power over Ethernet (PoE) to connected devices. It is an ideal solution for powering and networking PoE-compatible hardware such as IP surveillance cameras, wireless access points (WAPs), and VoIP phones directly through the Ethernet cabling, eliminating the need for separate power injectors or nearby electrical outlets.
This adapter is compliant with the IEEE 802.3at (PoE+ / Type 2) standard, delivering up to 30W of power per port (with a total power budget depending on the system’s internal power supply connection). It is also backward compatible with IEEE 802.3af (PoE). The card utilizes the reliable Realtek RTL8111G chipset, ensuring stable performance and broad driver support across various operating systems.
To ensure sufficient power delivery, the ST4000PEXPSE features a built-in SATA or optional LP4 power connector to draw current directly from the computer’s power supply. Its versatile design includes a pre-installed full-profile bracket and an optional low-profile bracket, making it compatible with standard and small form factor (SFF) workstations and servers.
