StarTech P041GI-NETWORK-CARD – 4-Port GbE SFP Network Card with Intel I350
Overview :
The P041GI-NETWORK-CARD is a professional quad-port Gigabit Ethernet network interface controller (NIC) designed for high-density server backplanes and IT administrator workstations. It utilizes the industry-standard Intel I350-AM4 chipset to provide reliable, low-latency data transfers while minimizing CPU overhead. This card solves the need for multiple independent network segments or redundant uplinks within a single PCIe expansion slot, supporting virtualization and link aggregation in complex network environments.
Technically, the adapter features four open SFP slots, offering the flexibility to deploy a mix of fiber (SX, LX) or copper (RJ45) transceivers depending on distance and EMI requirements. It supports advanced Intel Virtualization Technologies including VMDq, SR-IOV, and VT-c, which enhance virtual machine performance by offloading network processing from the host CPU. The card operates on a PCIe 2.0 x2 interface, ensuring sufficient bandwidth for all four ports to operate at full-duplex gigabit speeds simultaneously.
Optimized for enterprise manageability, the P041GI-NETWORK-CARD supports PXE boot for centralized OS deployment, 9K jumbo frames for improved data efficiency, and VLAN tagging for network segmentation. It is fully compatible with Windows, Windows Server, Linux, and VMware ESXi. The card features a built-in heatsink for sustained thermal stability in tight rack-mount chassis. It is not compatible with 10Gbps SFP+ modules.
Key Features :
