Overview
The QNAP RAM-16GDR5ECT0-UD-4800 is a 16GB DDR5 ECC UDIMM memory module designed for QNAP NAS systems and entry-to-mid enterprise storage platforms requiring higher memory bandwidth and reliability.
It operates at 4800 MT/s (PC5-38400), providing increased throughput compared to DDR4, which benefits virtualization, container workloads, deduplication, and high-concurrency NAS environments.
The module supports ECC (Error-Correcting Code), ensuring data integrity and system stability in continuous 24/7 operations. As an unbuffered DIMM (UDIMM), it is intended for platforms that support ECC UDIMM rather than RDIMM architectures.
Built on a 288-pin DDR5 UDIMM form factor, it is validated for select QNAP NAS models using DDR5 platforms, ensuring firmware compatibility and stable operation under enterprise workloads.
This module must only be used in systems that explicitly support DDR5 ECC UDIMM memory. It is not compatible with RDIMM-based servers, DDR4 systems, or standard non-ECC consumer platforms.
