Overview
The Eaton SRCOOL7KRME is a rack-mounted air conditioning unit engineered for close-coupled cooling of heat-sensitive IT equipment in data centers, network closets, edge deployments, and server rooms. It delivers dedicated rack-level cooling without requiring precision room cooling infrastructure or additional floor-mounted HVAC systems.
This self-contained 8U cooling system provides up to 9,000 BTU/h (2.7 kW) ASHRE cooling capacity using R32 refrigerant for improved energy efficiency and reduced environmental impact. The unit mounts at the bottom of a standard 19-inch EIA rack and directs conditioned airflow upward toward active equipment loads. Built-in condensate re-evaporation eliminates the need for a drain tank during standard cooling operation.
The SRCOOL7KRME supports deployments where localized rack cooling is required to prevent thermal shutdowns, improve airflow efficiency, and reduce hot spots in enclosed racks. Optional remote management support enables environmental monitoring and operational control through Ethernet-based interfaces using the SRCOOLNET2LX accessory.
This model is suitable for enclosed rack cabinets in small-to-medium IT environments requiring supplemental cooling near heat loads. It is not intended for open-frame racks without proper ducting or for replacing primary building HVAC systems in large-scale data-center deployments.
