Intel E8102CQDA2G1P5 Network Adapter
Overview :
The Intel E8102CQDA2G1P5 is a high-end Intel Ethernet Network Adapter from the Intel 800 Series (E810 family), designed for hyperscale data centers, cloud infrastructure, HPC clusters, and enterprise virtualization environments. It is built for extremely high bandwidth networking workloads requiring low latency, advanced offloads, and strong scalability.
This adapter is based on the Intel Ethernet Controller E810 and provides dual-port QSFP28 connectivity supporting up to 100GbE per port (with support for 50/25/10GbE depending on configuration and breakout mode). It connects via a PCIe 4.0 x16 host interface, enabling very high aggregate throughput suitable for modern server backbones.
It supports fiber optic, DAC, and AOC QSFP28 connections and is widely used in data center spine/leaf architectures. The adapter includes advanced Intel features such as SR-IOV virtualization, VMDq, Intel Data Direct I/O, and RDMA (RoCEv2 and iWARP), which help reduce CPU overhead and improve performance in virtualized and storage-heavy workloads.
This model is strictly intended for server and data center environments and requires compatible QSFP28 switching infrastructure and proper rack-level cooling. It is not suitable for desktop or consumer systems.
Key Features :
- Dual-port 100GbE QSFP28 connectivity for data center backbone use
- PCIe 4.0 x16 interface for maximum host bandwidth
- Advanced virtualization support with SR-IOV and VMDq
- RDMA support (RoCEv2 / iWARP) for low-latency workloads
- Optimized for cloud, HPC, and enterprise storage networks
