Overview :

The Opengear EMD5782 is a vibration sensor designed for use with compatible Opengear Environmental Monitoring Devices (EMD). It enables infrastructure teams to detect vibration events that may indicate unauthorized access, equipment movement, or physical tampering within data centers, network closets, branch offices, and remote edge deployments.

The sensor connects directly to a supported Opengear environmental monitoring solution and works alongside temperature, humidity, door contact, smoke, and water leak sensors to provide comprehensive environmental monitoring. Alarm events can be integrated with the Opengear platform for automated notifications and remote monitoring.

The EMD5782 is suited for installations where physical security monitoring is required, including cabinets, racks, and enclosures. It is intended for deployment with compatible Opengear Environmental Monitoring Devices and is not designed for standalone operation or direct connection to standard Ethernet networks.
