Overview

The HPE S0U65A is a high-performance Smart‑Rate line card for the Aruba CX 5420 modular chassis, delivering eight RJ-45 ports capable of 1 Gb, 2.5 Gb, 5 Gb, and 10 Gb speeds, along with Class 8 PoE (up to 90 W per port). It’s built for environments where you need both multi-gig connectivity and very high PoE power — for example, powering modern access points, high-end VoIP phones, or edge compute devices. With its Gen‑7 ASIC architecture and tight integration into the CX 5420 chassis running AOS‑CX, this module gives you full Layer‑3 routing, VSX (high availability), scripting, and automation. According to the platform support matrix, the minimum AOS‑CX version required for this module is 10.15.0001.
