As part of the CX 5420 chassis, this module leverages the Gen‑7 ASIC, delivering wire‑speed Layer‑3 routing, VSX high‑availability, and full programmability through AOS‑CX. It’s built for dense mid‑to‑large campus or branch deployments where fiber connectivity is needed, without wasting chassis slots on redundant copper. The 4U chassis also supports high availability with redundant PSUs and hot-swappable modules.
