Overview
The StarTech I13-SERIAL-ETHERNET is an industrial-grade serial device server designed to provide remote access and control of RS232 serial hardware over a standard IP-based network. This 1-port converter is a critical tool for IT administrators and industrial engineers who need to manage legacy equipment—such as CNC machines, PLCs, sensors, or POS systems—from a central location, bypassing the physical distance limitations of serial cabling.
Housed in a rugged, all-metal steel enclosure, this device server is engineered for durability in harsh environments. It can also supply 5V DC power over pin 9 of the DB9 connector, simplifying the setup for serial devices that support power-over-serial.
