Overview :

The INTELLINET 561808 is a 5-port Gigabit Ethernet switch featuring PoE passthrough and an IEEE 802.3bt powered device (PD) input port. It is utilized by network infrastructure engineers and enterprise deployment teams to distribute data and electrical power to edge devices without requiring local AC power outlets. The unit solves the challenge of extending network reach and powering multiple IP cameras, wireless access points, or VoIP phones in remote or confined physical locations.

Technically, the device supports up to a 95W power input via 4PPoE (IEEE 802.3bt) from an upstream PoE switch or injector, delivering a total PoE power budget of up to 65W when using AC power or high-capacity PoE input. It features a 10 Gbps switching fabric, a store-and-forward architecture, and an integrated Powered Device Monitor (PDM watchdog) for automated self-healing recovery of unresponsive connected equipment.

Deployment is optimized for desktop placement or wall-mounted integration within structured wiring boxes, ceiling enclosures, and security backboards. It doubles the standard connection distance from 100 meters to 200 meters between the main PoE source and edge devices. Compatibility spans standard Cat5e/6 UTP cabling and IEEE 802.3at/af compliant powered devices. However, this switch is designed for indoor edge routing and must not be installed in exposed outdoor environments without a weather-rated NEMA enclosure.
