The TRENDnet TPE-224WS is a Web Smart PoE+ Switch designed to serve as a cost-effective and scalable backbone for small to medium-sized business (SMB) networks. It integrates Power over Ethernet (PoE) and essential Layer 2 management features, providing a versatile solution for deploying devices like IP cameras, VoIP phones, and wireless access points without the need for separate power sources. This switch simplifies infrastructure by delivering both data and power over existing Ethernet cabling, reducing installation costs and complexity. This switch provides a total PoE power budget of 193W, distributed across its 24 10/100 Mbps ports. The first four ports support the PoE+ standard (802.3at), delivering up to 30 watts per port, while the remaining 20 ports adhere to the PoE standard (802.3af), offering up to 15.4 watts each. With a 12.8 Gbps switching capacity, the TPE-224WS ensures efficient data handling across all connected devices. The inclusion of four Gigabit ports and two shared SFP slots provides flexible, high-speed uplink connectivity to the core network. Engineered for straightforward integration, the TPE-224WS comes in a rack-mountable 1U form factor.
