Overview
The APC ACF601 is a temperature-based controller module built to trigger fan operation in NetShelter rack systems under varying thermal loads. It senses ambient temperature and turns 2U fan assemblies on or off automatically, enabling better cooling in power-dense cabinets. In a typical deployment, it helps maintain intake air temperature below set thresholds for server or networking gear. Use it in NetShelter or similar 19″ rack enclosures to optimize airflow rather than running fans at full speed continuously. It’s compatible with APC’s 2U NetShelter fan panels (ACF600 series) and fits standard rack-mount setups.
