APC AP6007A Basic Zero‑U Rack Power Distribution Unit
Overview
The APC AP6007A is a passive rack power distribution unit engineered to centrally distribute single‑phase mains power to multiple devices within server racks and network cabinets. Infrastructure and facilities teams deploy this PDU where simple, high‑density power outlets are needed without remote control, metering, or sequencing — typical in network closets, IDF racks, and non‑critical compute environments.
This unit accepts 30 A at 200–208 V AC via a NEMA L6‑30P inlet and delivers power through sixteen IEC 60320 C13 outlets, enabling connection of servers, switches, storage devices, and other equipment that use standard C13 cords. The broad outlet count supports consolidated cabling and organized distribution from a single high‑current feed.
Designed in a zero‑U vertical form factor, the AP6007A mounts along the side or rear rack channel, preserving usable rack units for active equipment. A long power cord offers flexibility in placement relative to upstream feeds. This PDU includes built‑in overload protection to guard against sustained overcurrent conditions but does not provide intelligent power management features.
This model is suitable for installations where basic power distribution is required and remote monitoring or control is not a priority. It is not intended for environments requiring power usage metering, outlet switching, sequencing, or integration with remote management systems.
