Overview :

The APC AP9335T is a wired temperature sensor used by data‑center and network infrastructure engineers to monitor ambient air temperature within critical IT spaces. It provides continuous temperature data to compatible monitoring systems, reducing thermal risk to equipment and supporting environmental visibility.

It outputs temperature measurements only and connects via a standard RJ‑45 interface, enabling integration with APC NetBotz environmental monitoring appliances and sensor pods. The sensor’s universal design allows automatic detection without manual configuration on supported monitoring endpoints.

Physically, the AP9335T is a low‑profile probe with a long, 13 ft (4 m) cable that lets engineers position it where representative temperature readings matter most—top, middle, or bottom of racks, adjacent to heat‑sensitive equipment, or across hot‑aisle/cold‑aisle boundaries.

The sensor’s form factor and cable length support flexible placement in rack, cabinet, or equipment room environments with minimal obstruction, without requiring a dedicated power source (powered through the monitoring interface).

In practical deployments, AP9335T feeds real‑time temperature data into a NetBotz appliance or compatible system for threshold alerting and logging. It should not be used as a standalone controller or in systems lacking compatible RJ‑45 sensor ports.
