Overview :

The APC APDU1335TH is a temperature and humidity sensor module designed for integration with APC NetShelter Rack PDUs that support environmental monitoring. It is deployed by data center infrastructure teams and facilities engineers to provide continuous rack‑level ambient temperature and relative humidity data, enabling visibility into environmental conditions that impact IT equipment life and performance.

This sensor outputs both temperature and humidity measurements via a dedicated interface to the hosting PDU’s environmental monitoring ports, allowing real‑time data logging, threshold alerting, and integration with rack power management views. It does not operate as a standalone monitor; it requires connection to a compatible APC PDU.

Physically, the APDU1335TH is compact and lightweight, making it suitable for placement in rack cavities or near equipment where thermal variations and moisture risk are highest. The assembly includes the environmental sensing module and a pre‑terminated cable with an RJ45 interface for direct PDU connection.

By providing continuous environmental condition feedback alongside PDU power metrics, this sensor supports proactive cooling management and early detection of humidity‑related risks like condensation or dew point excursions. It should not be used in monitoring systems other than compatible NetShelter Rack PDUs, as unsupported interfaces may cause communication failure or damage.
