The APC AR8442 is a vertical cable management accessory designed for APC NetShelter rack enclosures. It is used by data center engineers and network infrastructure teams to organize power and network cabling within rack cabinets. The accessory helps maintain structured cable routing, reducing congestion inside racks that house servers, storage arrays, and switching equipment.

This cable organizer installs in the rear Zero-U channel of a rack enclosure, allowing cables to be routed vertically without consuming usable rack unit space. By using the rack’s side channel rather than the front equipment mounting area, the organizer maintains full rack capacity for IT hardware while improving cable routing discipline.

The AR8442 includes eight integrated cable rings designed to support and separate cable bundles. These rings guide power and network cables along the rack height, preventing cable strain and improving accessibility during maintenance or reconfiguration. Organized cable routing also helps preserve proper front-to-rear airflow through rack equipment, supporting thermal management in dense rack environments.

Installation is tool-less, allowing the unit to snap into the rack’s Zero-U mounting channel. This makes it suitable for both new rack builds and retrofitting existing server cabinets.
