APC BE650G1 – 650 VA Back‑UPS Standby UPS 120 V
Overview :
The APC BE650G1 is a standby uninterruptible power supply (UPS) providing 650 VA / 390 W backup power for desktop IT equipment in 120 V utility environments. It is deployed by home office and small‑business teams to protect computers, networking devices, and peripherals from outages, sags, surges, and brownouts with surge filtering and battery support.
This UPS uses sealed lead‑acid (VRLA) battery technology configured for internal backup power and is user‑replaceable using the specified RBC17 battery cartridge. The pack automatically charges whenever connected to utility power and supports hot‑swappable replacement without tools.
Electrical topology is standby (offline) with automatic transfer to battery when utility power fails; output is a stepped approximated sine wave suitable for general computing and network loads.
The unit includes integrated surge protection and EMI/RFI filtering to mitigate transient events and line noise, helping reduce the risk of damage to connected electronics.
BE650G1 is packaged in a compact tower form factor with multiple outlets for battery and surge protection plus surge‑only protection. It is not intended for large data center or rackmount installations but is suitable for desktop, workstation, and small‑office setups.
