Overview

The APC BX1500M is a line?interactive uninterruptible power supply (UPS) designed to maintain AC continuity and mitigate power anomalies for connected electronics in home offices, small businesses, and distributed IT spaces. It provides temporary battery support and surge protection during utility outages, enabling orderly shutdowns and protecting devices from voltage transients and dips.

With a rated output capacity of 1500?VA / 900?W and automatic voltage regulation (AVR), this UPS stabilizes input fluctuations within the range of ~88?V to 139?V AC, reducing battery use for minor undervoltages and overvoltages. Line?interactive topology with simulated sine wave output switches to battery support with a typical transfer time of 8???10?ms.

The unit includes ten NEMA?5?15R outlets ? five offering both battery backup and surge protection, plus five dedicated surge?only outlets ? allowing segmentation of critical and non?critical loads to preserve runtime for essential devices. An integrated multi?function LCD and status indicators present load level, battery status, and event logs to aid in situational awareness during power events.

A sealed, maintenance?free lead?acid battery supplies DC energy for on?battery operation. Runtime varies based on load; full?load support is approximately 2.8?minutes, and at half?load around 10.9?minutes. Batteries are replaceable using the APC APCRBC124 model without removing the UPS from service.

Installation is straightforward as a compact tower form factor suitable for placement adjacent to equipment racks, shelves, or desktops where space is limited. USB and serial communication interfaces support basic management or integration with software tools.
