APC SMC1000?2UC is a line?interactive uninterruptible power supply designed to protect critical desktop systems, network devices, and small servers operating on 120?V AC power. IT administrators and small business professionals deploy this UPS in offices, network closets, and edge infrastructure to maintain uptime during utility outages, voltage sags, and brownouts.

The unit delivers 1000?VA / 650?W output capacity with a simulated sine?wave output, suitable for moderate loads such as workstations, routers, and entry?level servers. Its line?interactive architecture incorporates Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) to correct low? and high?voltage conditions without switching to battery whenever possible, preserving runtime for actual power interruptions.

In a tower form factor, SMC1000?2UC is placed adjacent to equipment or near network racks where space permits. Power input is provided via a NEMA?5?15P connector, and protected outlets on the rear panel include eight NEMA?5?15R receptacles delivering both battery?backup and surge protection. The UPS integrates basic surge filtering to mitigate transient voltage events that could affect sensitive electronics.

Management connectivity includes USB and serial communication ports for integration with automated shutdown software and local monitoring tools, enabling graceful system shutdown during extended power failures.
