The FT8350 is an advanced high-precision primary-side feedback and regulation constant current driver specifically designed for LED lighting applications. Operating in inductor current discontinuous conduction mode (DCM), it is particularly well-suited for flyback converters under universal input conditions.

Designed to handle a wide input voltage range from 85V to 265V, the FT8350 ensures optimal performance for LED lighting systems with recommended output power ranging from 3W to 24W, depending on the internal power switch configuration. The FT8350x model integrates a powerful 700V power NPN and streamlines the design by eliminating the need for secondary sense and feedback circuits. Additionally, loop compensation components are removed while maintaining stability across all operating conditions.

This driver employs a source drive architecture and patented demagnetization sensing technology, featuring very low operating current and self-power supply technology. The innovative design eliminates the need for an auxiliary winding to sense the output and supply the chip, resulting in a reduced component count and a compact system size.

With a highly accurate current sense method, the FT8350x achieves ?3% accuracy of LED current, coupled with outstanding line and load regulation. This makes it an ideal choice for precise and efficient LED lighting applications, ensuring reliable and stable performance across various operating conditions.
