Eaton 9PX6K‑L – 6 kVA Double‑Conversion UPS
Overview
The Eaton 9PX6K‑L is a 6 kVA (6000 VA / 5400 W) double‑conversion online UPS with lithium‑ion battery technology designed for high‑availability power conditioning and backup support. It is deployed by electrical and infrastructure engineers in data centers, network rooms, and critical IT racks that require continuous clean power and redundancy against mains disruptions.
This unit delivers true online, double‑conversion power processing with ±1 % regulated output to sensitive loads across voltage fluctuations. The 208 V output platform (configurable for 200/208/220/230/240 V) and 0 ms transfer time ensure no interruption to connected servers, storage, and network appliances during mains loss.
The UPS installs in 3U of standard 19‑inch rack space and is convertible to tower configuration if needed. It includes (2) NEMA L6‑30R and (2) NEMA L6‑20R receptacles plus hard‑wire output to support multiple power distribution schemes. A Gigabit Network‑M3 card is included, offering secure remote management and SNMP integration with monitoring software.
Lithium‑ion battery chemistry (LiFePO4) with an internal Battery Management System (BMS) provides longer service life and hot‑swappable capability, and supports up to four External Battery Modules (EBMs) for extended runtime needs. The unit incorporates internal bypass and surge protection to maintain service continuity during maintenance or transient events.
Typical runtime is approximately ~17 min at half load and ~8.7 min at full load, allowing orderly shutdown or transition to generator power in extended outages. This UPS is not designed for environments requiring modular parallel UPS arrays or where external maintenance bypass switchgear is mandated for Tier‑4 redundancy.
