Eaton 9PXTFMR5G2 Step-Down Transformer
Overview :
The Eaton 9PXTFMR5G2 (9PX Generation 2 Series) is a 5kVA/5000W step-down power transformer designed for low-voltage expansion in high-density rack infrastructures. Network engineers, server room technicians, and IT infrastructure managers deploy this accessory alongside 208V 9PX Gen 2 uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) to handle hardware voltage variance.
The module resolves the lack of standard wall-plug access inside high-voltage server enclosures. It accepts a high-voltage 208V AC input from the host UPS and downsteps the current into standard 120V low-voltage output streams across 18 NEMA 5-20R outlets. This deployment path allows operators to safely integrate common storage drives, management laptops, and peripheral hardware within a primary 208V network rack layout.
Occupying 3U of horizontal rack space in standard 19-inch 4-post computer enclosures, the chassis also converts into a standalone vertical tower footprint using the bundled mounting hardware. The system feeds directly from the UPS using an attached 3-foot power cord terminating in a NEMA L6-30P plug. Never attempt to draw more than 20A per output load bank, as over-current conditions will trip the integrated resettable safety circuit breakers.
