Overview
The Eaton BP180RT is a 180V extended battery module designed to increase runtime for compatible Eaton Tripp Lite SmartOnline UPS systems in mission-critical power environments. It provides additional backup capacity for applications requiring longer uptime during utility outages or power instability.
This external battery module uses sealed valve-regulated lead-acid (VRLA) batteries and supports hot-swappable battery replacement for simplified maintenance. The unit connects through high-current 180V DC connectors and supports daisy-chain expansion with up to four matching battery modules for extended runtime scalability. It is built in a 3U rack/tower form factor for deployment flexibility across enterprise and edge infrastructure.
The BP180RT is commonly deployed in data centers, telecom environments, healthcare systems, industrial networks, and enterprise server rooms supporting critical UPS loads. Included rack-mount hardware and tower stands support installation in both rack and standalone UPS deployments.
The module is compatible with Eaton Tripp Lite SU5000RT and SU6000RT series UPS systems and related expandable SmartOnline models. It is not intended for standalone battery backup operation or non-compatible UPS platforms without external battery support capability.
