Overview :

The Eaton EHBPL3000R-PDU1U is a single-phase basic power distribution unit integrated with a hardwired HotSwap Maintenance Bypass (MBP) assembly. It is engineered for data center administrators and network engineers who must maintain absolute load uptime during infrastructure servicing. By providing a mechanical bypass circuit, this PDU permits the complete hot-swapping, repair, or upgrade of an online uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system without causing an operational drop to active server, storage, or networking loads.

Operating at a maximum load capacity of 2.88 kW and supporting 24 A continuously at 110–125 V AC, the unit separates power pathways to ensure continuous energy delivery from the utility grid when the primary UPS is decoupled. Input power is provisioned via a short 3.3-foot (1-meter) line cord capped with a NEMA L5-30P twist-lock plug, reducing cable congestion and ensuring secure link engagement inside densely configured enclosures. The downstream payload distribution features five standard NEMA 5-20R outlets split across independent circuit protection zones.

This PDU supports horizontal rack deployment across various multi-position orientations, including standard front-facing, rear-facing, or side-mount attachment directly to server cabinet rails or compatible UPS chassis modules. It is explicitly tailored for runtime support of single-phase UPS systems matching the 3,000 VA capacity tier, such as the Eaton 9PX series (including 9PX3000RT and 9PX3000RTN). Do NOT deploy this module in high-density installations running 208V/240V configurations or alongside active loads that exceed its strict 24 A operating limit.
