Overview
The Eaton LCR2400 is a rack‑mount power conditioner with built‑in Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) and AC surge suppression, engineered to stabilize and protect AC power supplied to connected equipment in IT, AV, or telecom racks. It’s used by infrastructure engineers and operations teams to mitigate unreliable mains voltage and transient disturbances that can compromise sensitive electronics. The design targets sites with fluctuating supply conditions where brownouts, overvoltages, or spikes are prevalent.
The unit is rated for 2,400 W output capacity (up to 20 A at nominal 120 V) and mounts in 3U of standard 19‑inch rack space. It accepts line voltages between approximately 89 V and 147 V AC, dynamically correcting to maintain a stable 120 V output, while also providing network‑grade 1,440 joule surge suppression and multi‑level EMI/RFI line filtering.
With 14 NEMA 5‑15R receptacles (2 front, 12 rear) arranged in dual isolated filter banks, the LCR2400 supports multiple devices in a single rack and reduces cross‑device interference. Front‑panel LEDs provide immediate status of incoming voltage and protective functions.
This power conditioner fits in IDF/MDF network closets, branch racks, and edge data enclosures where stable AC is required but full UPS backup is not mandated. It occupies 3 rack units, making it compatible with typical 2‑post or 4‑post rack systems.
Integration is straightforward: connect the 12‑foot NEMA 5‑15P cord to a facility power source and distribute conditioned AC to rack devices. The conditioned output supports sensitive routers, switches, servers, AV gear, and other electronics that are susceptible to voltage irregularities.
Avoid using this unit as a substitute for uninterruptible power systems where full outage protection is required. It does not include battery backup and is unsuitable for three‑phase power environments.
