The Eaton N845B-10M-12-MG is a high-density, 12-fiber multimode patch cable engineered for high-bandwidth data center infrastructures, enterprise main distribution frames (MDFs), and intermediate distribution frames (IDFs). Network engineers and infrastructure procurement teams deploy this cable to manage short-range, high-speed patch interconnections between core switches, routers, and patch panels. It solves the problem of cable congestion in dense network racks by packing 12 times the fiber density of standard SC connectors into a single MTP/MPO footprint.

Technically optimized for high-throughput networking, this 50/125 µm OM4 cable supports 40 GbE, 100 GbE, and future-proofed 400 GbE applications. It features dual female 12-strand MTP/MPO connectors with an endface PC polish, operating with a maximum insertion loss of 0.35 dB. The cable utilizes a Low-Smoke Zero-Halogen (LSZH) jacket with an OFNR riser rating, ensuring safety in poorly ventilated areas by limiting toxic smoke emissions during combustion. Slim boot connectors and integrated push/pull tabs allow rapid, one-handed installation and extraction in densely populated blade switch chassis.

This cable is designed for horizontal patch runs inside standard server cabinets, structured cabling racks, and open-frame data center distribution blocks. It is fully compatible with QSFP+ 40GBASE-SR4, QSFP28 100GBASE-SR4, and 400GBASE-SR8 optical transceivers. Do not use this cable in single-mode fiber infrastructure or deployments requiring physical outdoor routing. It is restricted to compatible MTP/MPO ports and cannot connect directly to LC or SC interfaces without breakout cassettes or adapters.
