Overview
The Eaton NG16POE-1 is an unmanaged Gigabit Ethernet switch designed for PoE-powered edge networking in small offices, branch deployments, surveillance systems, and distributed IT environments. It provides sixteen auto-negotiating Gigabit RJ45 ports with integrated PoE+ support for simplified device connectivity and centralized power delivery.
The switch supports IEEE 802.3af/at standards with a total PoE budget of 220W, enabling direct power delivery to wireless access points, VoIP phones, IP cameras, and other PoE-enabled infrastructure without separate adapters or injectors. Plug-and-play operation allows rapid deployment without configuration or management overhead.
Its metal 1U chassis supports both rack-mount and desktop installation in wiring closets, telecom rooms, SMB racks, and edge infrastructure cabinets. IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet functionality reduces power consumption during low traffic activity while maintaining network availability.
This model is suitable for Layer 2 access switching where unmanaged Gigabit connectivity and PoE+ distribution are required. It is not intended for deployments requiring VLAN segmentation, Layer 3 routing, advanced QoS policies, or centralized switch management.
