Eaton SM3000RMXL2UTAA Tripp Lite 3 kVA Line Interactive Rack Tower UPS
Overview
The Eaton SM3000RMXL2UTAA is a 3 kVA (3000 VA / 2880 W) line-interactive UPS built to protect high-density IT equipment—servers, storage arrays, network switches or telecom infrastructure—that require reliable backup in a compact 2U rack/tower format. This unit delivers true sine-wave output which ensures compatibility with active-PFC power supplies and mission critical gear. It features built-in automatic voltage regulation (AVR) that actively corrects brownouts and over-voltages (from ~83 V up to ~145 V) without switching to battery, preserving battery life and keeping your protected equipment online. With its 2U height and convertible rack/tower mounting, the SM3000RMXL2UTAA fits standard 19-inch cabinets or can be deployed freestanding. The unit includes a full colour LCD display panel with rotation capability for easy viewing in either orientation, giving real-time feedback on load, battery status, site voltage, and connected device monitoring. It supports remote management over USB and RS-232, and features a network card slot for SNMP/web/SSH integration—so you can monitor and automate shutdowns across remote infrastructure. Runtime at half load (~1440 W) is approximately 10 minutes, and at full load (~2880 W) roughly 3 minutes—enough for short outages or orderly shutdown of equipment. External battery packs are supported (for extended runtime) when required. The unit is TAA-compliant (suitable for U.S. Government procurement), making it a dependable, spec-driven choice for enterprise and institutional deployments.
