The Tripp Lite SRQ18U is an 18U acoustic server rack enclosure engineered to support rack‑mount IT equipment while significantly reducing noise in office, classroom, or studio environments. Infrastructure engineers and facilities teams deploy it where standard racks generate unacceptable acoustic levels near workspaces or noise‑sensitive zones.

It provides 18 rack units (RU) of 19‑inch EIA‑standard equipment mounting and is constructed from steel with MDF panels that combine structural support with acoustic damping. Integrated sound‑absorption baffles in doors and side panels reduce equipment noise by up to ~28 dB, improving the ambient environment without active noise control systems.

This cabinet supports a static and rolling weight capacity of 750 lb (340 kg), accommodating servers, switches, patch panels, and associated rack gear.
