Eaton SRTH12UB SmartRack Extension Enclosure
Overview
The Eaton SRTH12UB is a 12U SmartRack “top hat” enclosure extension designed to increase rack capacity vertically without increasing floor footprint in data center and enterprise IT environments.
It is installed on compatible Eaton SmartRack floor-standing cabinets to add additional rack mounting space for network, storage, and light server equipment.
The module maintains standard 19-inch EIA rack compatibility and integrates with the base enclosure’s grounding system, airflow path, and physical security structure. It is commonly used in colocation suites, enterprise server rooms, and telecom deployments where incremental capacity expansion is required without replacing the full rack.
The SRTH12UB is intended for lightweight to moderate IT equipment such as patch panels, switches, PDUs, and small form-factor devices. It is not designed to support heavy server loads or act as a standalone rack enclosure.
