The Eaton SRWF4U is a 4U vertical wall-mount rack enclosure designed to house 19-inch rack equipment in space-constrained environments. It is deployed by network engineers and infrastructure teams to securely mount switches, patch panels, and related equipment where floor-standing racks are not practical, such as wiring closets, retail back offices, and edge network locations.

This enclosure supports standard EIA-310 19-inch equipment with a vertical mounting orientation that minimizes wall projection while maintaining usable rack depth. It accommodates equipment up to 20 inches deep and supports a static load capacity of 150 lb (68 kg). A secondary slide-out 2U bracket is integrated for shallow-depth patch panels, enabling separation of switching and patching layers within the same enclosure.

The SRWF4U is typically deployed in IDF closets, branch network environments, and distributed edge infrastructure where rack density is low but physical security and cable organization are still required. Its low-profile design extends approximately 8 inches from the wall, allowing installation in narrow corridors or confined telecom spaces without obstructing access pathways.

It integrates into standard structured cabling systems and supports common rack-mount hardware using M6 or 12-24 threaded mounting.
