Eaton BC600RNC – 600 VA Standby UPS with Remote Monitoring
Overview
The Eaton BC600RNC is a standby UPS designed to deliver basic battery backup and surge protection for 120 V IT and network equipment. It is deployed by IT infrastructure engineers and facilities personnel where short utility outages and line disturbances must be mitigated for peripherals, point‑of‑sale systems, workstations, and small network closets.
This UPS provides 600 VA / 300 W capacity with a standby (offline) topology that automatically switches to battery during power interruptions. It integrates surge suppression and EMI/RFI noise filtering to help reduce the impact of transient voltages and electrical noise on connected loads.
The BC600RNC includes four NEMA 5‑15R battery + surge protected outlets and a NEMA 5‑15P input with a 5‑foot power cord. A network (RJ45) port, USB‑C, and NFC interface enable remote configuration and monitoring when paired with Eaton’s cloud dashboard or local setup tools.
Physical form is compact desktop/surface/optional wall mount, allowing deployment under desks, on shelving, or behind equipment racks where footprint and vertical clearance are constrained. LED indicators and audible alarms provide local status of power, battery, and fault conditions.
Runtime is limited but sufficient for orderly shutdowns: about 5 minutes at half load and ~1.2 minutes at full rated load, with the internal sealed lead‑acid battery recharging to ~90 % capacity in roughly 8 hours. This device is not intended for extended runtime support or demanding data center rack UPS applications that require line‑interactive or double‑conversion architectures.
