The Eaton IBAR12‑20ULTRA is a rack‑mount surge protector and basic power distribution strip engineered for transient suppression and line noise filtering in IT, AV, telecom, and industrial environments. It is used by network engineers, data center technicians, and facilities teams to protect downstream gear from voltage spikes, surges, and EMI/RFI noise that can degrade or disrupt hardware operation. This unit combines power distribution with surge filtering in a single‑space (1U) rack footprint.
Electrically, the IBAR12‑20ULTRA supports 120 V AC single‑phase power with a 20 A maximum line current rating via a NEMA 5‑20P plug and delivers surge energy absorption of 3840 joules. It features twelve outlets — two front‑mounted NEMA 5‑15R receptacles for general loads and ten rear NEMA 5‑20R receptacles for higher‑current devices — with isolated filter banks to reduce interaction and noise between connected devices.
This surge protector mounts in a 1U horizontal rack space of standard 19‑inch enclosures but can also be installed wall‑mount or under‑counter using included detachable mounting flanges.
