The Eaton Tripp Lite N785-INT-PSFP is a field-deployable media converter designed for network engineers who need to extend copper Ethernet links over fiber while delivering power to a powered device (PoE+). It accepts a standard RJ-45 Gigabit Ethernet connection (10/100/1000 Mbps) and supports a modular SFP fiber transceiver (single- or multimode) at the opposite end, enabling flexible fiber uplinks. The unit integrates IEEE 802.3at (Type 2) PoE+ delivering up to 30 W to a downstream device over Cat5e/6 copper up to ~100 m, while the fiber link reaches far beyond copper limits. This device fits into edge or branch network deployments (e.g., security camera nodes, access control, VoIP) where fiber uplink and PoE load are required, and it can be paired with other N785-series converters for full link continuity. International power cable support simplifies multi-region installations.
