It is deployed by data center infrastructure teams, network engineers, and facilities planners in core, IDF/edge, and enterprise server rooms where secure physical mounting and structured cable routing are required.

Electrically passive, this cabinet provides structural support and organization without active components. It features heavy‑duty vertical mounting rails adjustable in 1/4‑inch increments and a standard 42 U rack height with ample internal space to accommodate full‑depth equipment and rack‑mounted accessories with clearances defined by rail placement.

The SR42UB’s standard depth (~43 in external/37 in usable internal) and 24‑inch (600 mm) width balance floor footprint with depth to support general‑purpose IT deployments. It ships fully assembled with integrated casters and leveling feet for positioning and stabilization in data centers, wiring closets, or technical rooms.
