The Eaton WLD012 is a facility-grade environmental monitoring sensor engineered to detect liquid leaks and floods within mission-critical infrastructure. Data center operators, network administrators, and facilities engineers deploy this dedicated water leak sensor to mitigate the risk of catastrophic liquid damage to close-coupled electronics, raised flooring systems, and containment zones. By providing early stage moisture detection, the sensor prevents prolonged hardware exposure to humidity spikes or cooling line failures.

Operating via a hardwired connection loop, the sensor interfaces directly with the Eaton Intelligent Power Controller 3000 and the Eaton NETWORK-Mx SNMP card architectures. When moisture bridges the sensor’s physical detection path, it triggers an immediate status change across the network relay card, enabling automated alerts via Intelligent Power Manager software to execute safety sequences or script clean shutdowns of downstream equipment.

Designed for high-density server rooms, communication closets, and remote edge nodes, the WLD012 features an extended flexible cable run that simplifies layout configurations along baseboards, under raised tiles, or surrounding condensation pans. The module functions as a passive, high-reliability monitoring node, eliminating the need for independent external power connections.
