Overview :
The Extreme Networks 40G-DACP-QSFP1M is a 1-meter QSFP+ to QSFP+ passive direct attach copper (DAC) cable designed for short-reach 40GbE interconnects in data center switching environments. It is used to connect compatible Extreme Networks switches, top-of-rack (ToR) systems, and aggregation layers without requiring optical transceivers.
It supports 40GBASE-CR4 over twinax copper with four 10Gbps lanes and is optimized for very low latency, zero-power passive operation, and high signal integrity over short distances (typically 1 meter).
This cable is strictly limited to QSFP+ 40G ports and cannot be used for SFP+ or breakout-to-1G/10G designs. It is commonly deployed inside racks for switch-to-switch or switch-to-server uplinks.
It is not suitable for long-distance inter-rack connectivity or fiber-based architectures.
