Overview :

The HP J9149A is a dual‑port 10 Gigabit Ethernet CX4 expansion module designed for the HP ProCurve 2910al switch series. Intended for network engineers upgrading uplink capacity, it adds two fixed CX4 copper 10‑GbE ports supporting IEEE 802.3ak (10GBASE‑CX4). It enables 10 Gb/s full‑duplex connectivity over CX4 copper up to approximately 15 m, fitting into enterprise network top‑of‑rack, campus core or data‑center aggregation roles. The module slides into the al‑module slot of compatible 2910al switches and presents plug‑in simplicity. It supports full‑duplex only and requires the host switch firmware version W.14.01 or later for full compatibility.
