HPE JH380A
FlexFabric 5930 4‑Slot Modular Layer 3 Ethernet Switch (Supports up to 32× QSFP+ Slots)
The HPE JH380A is a fully modular variant of the FlexFabric 5930 series, featuring four expansion slots accommodating QSFP+ or port modules up to 40 GbE. Designed for data center aggregation or spine-and-leaf environments, it delivers ultra-low latency, high bandwidth routing, and advanced convergence features. Ideal for service providers, enterprise cores, or virtualized fabrics, the chassis based architecture supports unmatched scalability, flexible port configurations, and industry-leading resilience. Includes front-to-back airflow design and built-in redundancy capabilities for enterprise-grade deployments.
Features
This 2U chassis serves as a backbone for high-density FlexFabric networking with IRF stacking for up to nine switches, enabling simplified management, redundancy, and enhanced performance. The chassis supports a mix of 10 GbE SFP+, 40 GbE QSFP+, or converged Fibre Channel/Ethernet modules with full support for FCoE, VXLAN, TRILL, OpenFlow for SDN, and EVB/VEPA virtualization features. Powered by Comware v7, it enables graceful software upgrades with ISSU, granular QoS, and advanced troubleshooting tools such as flow-based port mirroring, sFlow, and CLI diagnostics.
Advanced Options
Built for fabric performance and continuous availability, the JH380A chassis supports redundant hot-swappable power supplies (up to four) and dual fan trays with reversible airflow to suit both hot-aisle and cold-aisle data center designs.
