HPE JW146A Aruba 7010 16-Port PoE Controller
Overview
The HPE JW146A is the hardware model designation for the Aruba 7010 series 16-port PoE/PoE+ controller designed for mid-sized branch or campus network deployments. This controller provides sixteen 10/100/1000BASE-T Ethernet access ports (with up to 12 ports supporting PoE/PoE+), and two 1 Gb/s uplink ports, enabling unified wired access and wireless management in the same device. It offers policy enforcement, wired/wireless convergence and centralised device management under the ArubaOS architecture, solving the problem of fragmented control between Wi-Fi access points and wired LAN in distributed environments. The 1U rack-mount chassis fits typical wiring-closet or rack-mounted environments, and integrates with remote-AP clusters, VPN tunnels and wired edge services. It’s well suited for branch offices, remote campus wiring closets or small data-centre edge sites where both PoE-powered devices (VoIP phones, cameras, APs) and wired user access need to be managed under one platform.
