HPE JW687A – Aruba 7030 Mobility Controller
Overview
The HPE JW687A is a mobility controller from the Aruba 7000 series built for mid‑sized campus or branch wireless deployments where you need centralized management of access points, user devices and policy enforcement without the scale (or cost) of a high‑end controller. It offers 8 gigabit “combo” ports (RJ‑45 or SFP) to connect AP aggregation or wired uplinks and supports up to 64 access points and around 4,000 client devices in typical deployments. It fits into a 1U rack mount form‑factor and integrates with the Aruba WLAN ecosystem (ArubaOS, AirWave, etc.). It’s suitable for university buildings, large branch offices, hospitality venues or distributed enterprise sites where wireless control and segmentation matter.
