Overview
The HPE JY681A is a unified hospitality access point designed to deliver high-performance 802.11ac Wave 2 Wi-Fi connectivity in environments such as hotels, branch offices, and medical clinics. This compact and multifunctional device solves the need for both robust wireless and secure wired access in a single unit, reducing the total cost of ownership. It is engineered for flexible deployments, easily mounting to a standard wall data-box or converting to a desktop unit. This access point features dual-radio, 2×2:2 MU-MIMO technology, delivering aggregate data rates up to 1.2 Gbps. It supports concurrent data rates of up to 867 Mbps in the 5GHz band and 300 Mbps in the 2.4GHz band. Enhanced with Aruba’s ClientMatch technology, the JY681A intelligently steers MU-MIMO-capable clients to the closest appropriate access point, optimizing WLAN performance and ensuring a stable user experience. An integrated Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) radio also supports location-based services and asset tracking. Designed for operational simplicity, the Aruba AP-303H can be deployed in either controller-based (ArubaOS) or controllerless (InstantOS) mode. Its form factor includes three local Gigabit Ethernet ports for secure wired device connectivity, with one port capable of providing PoE out to power an attached device. Management is streamlined through platforms like Aruba Central (cloud-based) or AirWave (on-premises), providing comprehensive control and visibility.
