The Aruba CX 6405 chassis (R0X24C) includes five line slot bays and supports a wide variety of line modules (R0X38B through R0X45C), offering combinations of PoE+ copper, SFP+, multi-gig Smart Rate, and high-speed uplinks up to 100 GbE . The chassis supports dual management modules (e.g., R0X31A) for redundancy and two fan tray positions for cooling. Power supplies are orderable separately to enable full PoE or high-speed operation When fully populated with management modules, line cards, and power, the chassis provides a switching fabric capacity up to ~14 Tb/s and forwarding throughput up to ~5.7 Bpps (64‑byte packets) . Integrated with the AOS‑CX operating system, it supports advanced Layer 3 features—IPv4/IPv6 routing, BGP, OSPF, VRRP, PBR, multicast, QoS, ACLs—and high availability via VSX and modular redundancy Management is supported via CLI, REST API, SNMP, Telnet, SSH, and integration with Aruba NetEdit or ArubaCentral.
