Overview
The HPE R0X45C is a high-density line card engineered for the Aruba CX 6400 modular switch series. This expansion module is designed for enterprise campus aggregation cores and data center networks that require high-performance, non-blocking throughput for demanding applications. It addresses the need for scalable 40GbE and 100GbE connectivity in a centralized and resilient chassis-based architecture, providing a clear path for network growth. Powered by the Aruba Gen7 ASIC architecture, the module ensures wire-speed performance with very low latency. It leverages the advanced AOS-CX network operating system, delivering a consistent, programmable, and automated experience. This architecture provides robust Layer 3 routing capabilities, including BGP, EVPN, and VXLAN, making it ideal for building modern, resilient network fabrics and handling sophisticated traffic patterns. Physically, the R0X45C installs into an available I/O slot of an HPE Aruba 6405 or 6410 chassis. When deployed in redundant chassis configurations with Aruba’s Virtual Switching Extension (VSX), it enables a highly available framework capable of non-disruptive upgrades. Management is unified through HPE Aruba Networking Central, offering a single pane of glass for configuration and monitoring across the entire network infrastructure.
