The HPE R6W23A B‑Series Short‑Wave SFP+ Transceiver provides a single-port 10 Gbps optical interface over multimode fiber using the 850 nm VCSEL emitter. Engineered for high-performance enterprise SAN and data networking, it supports link distances up to approximately 300 meters on OM3 fiber and up to 400 m on OM4 fiber. Compatible with HPE B‑Series and Brocade storage switches, this compact plug‑in module offers seamless interoperability, hot-swappable convenience, and enhanced SAN fabric flexibility in both new or refurbished conditions.

Built to IEEE 802.3ae 10GBase-SW standards, the R6W23A module is designed for multimode fiber connectivity in dense SAN or data center aggregation environments. Its SFP+form factor with duplex LC connector allows easy insertion into any compliant SFP+ port. Equipped with Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM/DOM), it offers real-time monitoring of optical performance via I²C. Tested for interoperability with HPE B‑Series SAN extension switches, it works out of the box with minimal configuration. New units come with full manufacturer support, while refurbished units are OEM-tested and backed by a warranty.
