Overview :

The Intel RT3EX020E is an entry-level hardware RAID controller designed for server and enterprise storage environments requiring RAID 1 protection for SATA M.2 SSDs. It supports up to two SATA-based M.2 drives and provides mirrored storage configurations for improved data redundancy and system reliability.

The controller uses a PCIe Gen2 x2 host interface and is built for compact low-profile server deployments. It supports M.2 2280 and 22110 SATA SSDs using M-key and B-key configurations, making it suitable for boot-drive redundancy and entry-level storage protection in rack servers and embedded enterprise systems.

The RT3EX020E supports legacy BIOS and UEFI boot modes and is compatible with Windows Server, CentOS, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and SUSE Linux Enterprise environments. It is intended for SATA-only deployments and does not support NVMe drives or JBOD mode.

This RAID controller is best suited for enterprise systems requiring simple mirrored SATA M.2 storage configurations with low hardware overhead and compact deployment requirements.
