Overview :

The Intellinet 506724 is a Gigabit SFP (Small Form-factor Pluggable) optical transceiver designed for high-speed fiber Ethernet connectivity over single-mode fiber. It supports 1000Base-LX networking and provides reliable Gigabit data transmission for enterprise, campus, metropolitan, and data center applications.

Operating at a wavelength of 1310 nm, the module supports transmission distances of up to 20 km using 9/125 ?m single-mode fiber. It features an LC duplex optical interface, complies with the SFP Multi-Source Agreement (MSA), and supports hot-pluggable installation for easy deployment and replacement without interrupting network operation.

The transceiver is compatible with Intellinet SFP-enabled switches and other MSA-compliant networking equipment. It also broadcasts a Cisco-compatible GLC-LH-SM-20 vendor ID, improving interoperability with compatible Cisco hardware. It is intended for Gigabit Ethernet fiber links and should not be used in 10 Gigabit SFP+ ports or multimode fiber installations.
