Overview:

The Intellinet 507479 is a Cisco-compatible 10GBase-LR SFP+ transceiver module designed for high-speed 10 Gigabit Ethernet connections over single-mode fiber. It is used by network engineers and data center technicians to provide 10 Gbps uplinks over longer distances in enterprise networks, data centers, and campus environments.

This SFP+ transceiver solves the challenge of connecting switches, routers, and servers over fiber optic cabling at 10 Gbps speeds over distances up to 10 kilometers. It is a cost-effective alternative to OEM Cisco transceivers while maintaining full compatibility with Cisco networking equipment. The module operates at 1310 nm wavelength and supports distances up to 10 km (6.2 miles) over single-mode fiber.

Deployment is in any Cisco switch or router with an SFP+ port that supports 10GBase-LR optics.
